Crap Presents
Crap Presents is a joke gift ecommerce brand selling cheap, funny and deliberately useless gifts for every occasion, built on one simple idea. Making people laugh.
Crap Presents needed an ecommerce website that matched the fun, irreverent personality of the brand while giving shoppers a genuinely easy and enjoyable way to browse and buy.
A joke gift brand cannot have a boring website. The site needed to feel playful, colourful and immediately communicating what the brand was about the moment someone landed on it. At the same time, it still needed to function as a proper ecommerce store, with clear navigation, well-structured categories and a checkout experience that did not get in the way of a purchase.
We built the site around the product categories that matter most to the target audience, from birthday gifts by age and gender through to cheap gifts under a tenner, gifts for friends and the brilliantly titled Dull Days In. Design Image created a series of bespoke illustrated rabbit characters, each with their own personality, used across the category tiles to bring the site to life and give it a visual identity that was completely unique to the brand. Playful, consistent and very much on brief.
