MONstore Self Storage
MONstore is Scotland’s local self storage company, operating five sites across Aberdeen, Buckie, Dundee, Elgin and Stirling. Over 1,300 drive-up containers, same-day move-in, no deposit, no long-term contracts and not a single break-in since opening in 2019.
MONstore needed a website that made finding, pricing and booking storage as simple and frictionless as the service itself, while giving the brand a personality that set it apart from the big national chains.
The site was built around a clean, location-first user journey. Visitors can get a quick price, choose a location and book online in just a few clicks, with each of the five location pages carrying its own dedicated content covering address, access, pricing and availability. The structure was designed to convert browsers into bookings without unnecessary steps in between.
Design Image created a bespoke monster character, Big Barry, as the face of the MONstore brand. Barry appears throughout the site in different poses for different sections and contexts, giving each part of the site its own visual moment while keeping the character consistent throughout. Each of the five locations also has its own colour-coded version of Barry, with the clothing changing to distinguish one site from another while keeping the overall look and feel unmistakably MONstore. It is a creative solution that makes a multi-site business feel both cohesive and locally rooted at the same time.
